Chapter 13

Attack of the Vine!

  • Release date
  • 207cards

The climax of the Vine arc, the first set to exceed 204 cards and the start of Core Constructed rotation.

Attack of the Vine! is the thirteenth chapter of Disney Lorcana. The set released on July 24, 2026 at mass retail, following an early release on July 17, 2026 in local game stores and select Disney Parks and stores. With 207 cards in the main set, it is the first set to go beyond 204 cards, plus 18 Epic, 18 Enchanted and 2 Iconic cards.

This is the climax of the Vine arc that had been growing in the background artwork since Whispers in the Well. Having soaked up the magical ink from the flood, the Vine has become a formidable adversary: reaching into the sky, the thorny vine sprouts threats of all kinds, from vineling monsters to leafy duplicates of various glimmers.

It traps glimmers, replicates them and corrupts the game’s villains. It is the first time an entity born of Lorcana itself, rather than a Disney film, serves as the main antagonist.

New gameplay features

The set multiplies the variants of Shift. Temporary Shift lets you shift onto a same-named character already in play at a reduced cost: the character returns to your hand at end of turn with all damage removed. Duo Shift lets you shift a dual-named card on top of two of your characters, one matching each name. Combo Shift allows either one character matching either name, or both. The set even features a shift onto an item, a first for the game.

It also introduces several classifications: Team for dual-named cards, which count as three names at once, along with Vineling, Red Panda and Boss.

Finally, the card Christopher Robin, Hunny Sage lets you include Hunny characters of any ink in your deck: the first break of the two-ink deckbuilding rule since the game began. Dual-ink cards return and the comprehensive rules move to version 2.2.

Core Constructed rotation

Attack of the Vine! marks the first real rotation of the Core Constructed format, effective July 17, 2026. The legal sets become Fabled (9), Whispers in the Well (10), Winterspell (11), Wilds Unknown (12) and Attack of the Vine! (13).

Rotating out: Shimmering Skies (5), Azurite Sea (6), Archazia’s Island (7) and Reign of Jafar (8). The Infinity Constructed format remains unrestricted and accepts every card in the game.

The Disney and Pixar worlds featured

Three Pixar franchises make their debut: Monsters, Inc. (with Sulley, Mike Wazowski, Boo and Randall Boggs), Up and Turning Red (with Meilin and Ming Lee).

You will also find Winnie the Pooh, Beauty and the Beast, Lilo & Stitch, Toy Story, Tangled, Mickey and Minnie, The Little Mermaid and Robin Hood.

Products and the most sought-after cards

The set releases without starter decks. The lineup includes 12-card booster packs, the 24-pack booster display, the Illumineer’s Trove, a Prerelease Box with 6 boosters and one promo out of six, plus several playmats and a Mickey and Minnie portfolio.

The two Iconics, Lilo & Stitch, Fun-Loving Friends and Belle & Beast, Certain as the Sun, top the set’s market. Among the Enchanted cards, Winnie the Pooh & Piglet, Hunny Mages, Woody & Buzz Lightyear, Best Buddies and Sulley & Boo, Scare Buddies are the most sought after. This set’s Enchanted cards adopt a 1950s to 1970s movie-poster style.
