Winterspell

An ice spell goes awry and plunges the realm into winter: the Underdog keyword and the debut of Pocahontas and Darkwing Duck.

Winterspell is the eleventh chapter of Disney Lorcana. The set released on February 20, 2026 at mass retail, following prerelease events from February 13 to 15, 2026 in local game stores and Disney Stores. It contains 204 cards in the main set, plus 18 Enchanted, 18 Epic and 2 Iconic cards.

The story picks up right after Whispers in the Well: a mysterious vine has been discovered growing in the Inklands. An Elsa glimmer tries to stop it with a freezing spell, but the blast goes awry and creates a flurry of snow and ice unlike anything the realm has seen before.

The whole realm tips into winter. Glimmers adapt and embrace snowy activities while looking for a solution, as the vine storyline carries on into the following chapters.

New gameplay features

Winterspell introduces the Underdog keyword, officially worded as: if this is your first turn and you are not the first player, you pay 1 ink less to play this character. It is the designers’ answer to first-player advantage, with one Underdog character per ink.

The Boost keyword from the previous chapter returns and expands: many cards now scale with the number of cards placed underneath them.

The set released alongside Comprehensive Rules 2.0, which notably changed the empty-deck loss condition: you now lose if you end your turn with no cards in your deck, rather than the moment you fail to draw.

The Disney worlds featured

Several franchises make their Lorcana debut: Pocahontas (with Meeko, Flit and Grandmother Willow), Darkwing Duck (with Negaduck), Lilo & Stitch: The Series (with Angel, also known as Experiment 624) and The Fox and the Hound.

Frozen sits at the heart of the story, alongside Mickey’s Christmas Carol, Lilo & Stitch, Mulan, Moana, Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh.

Products in this set

Winterspell is the first set to ship without starter decks since they had become standard. Instead, a Collection Starter Set, Stitch Edition gathers 4 booster packs, a glimmer-foil Stitch promo, an 80-card portfolio and a collector’s guide.

The lineup also includes 12-card booster packs, the 24-pack booster display, the Illumineer’s Trove with its frosted dice (one per ink) and a Scrooge McDuck gift box containing 5 boosters, an exclusive foil Scrooge promo, a storage box, sleeves and dividers.

The most sought-after cards

The two Iconics, Moana, Curious Explorer and Pocahontas, Peacekeeper, are the set’s most expensive cards. The former was also called one of the set’s strongest competitive cards.

Among the Enchanted cards, Elsa, Ice Artisan, Lilo, Rock Star, Angel, Experiment 624 and Tod, Knows All the Tricks are the most closely watched. The two Iconics use a papercut style, like children’s scissor-cut snowflakes, while the Enchanted cards carry a matching frost foil effect.
