Chapter 10
Whispers in the Well
An investigation beneath the Great Illuminary, in the Inkwell Caverns, with the Boost keyword and the arrival of Gargoyles.
Whispers in the Well is the tenth chapter of Disney Lorcana. The set released on November 14, 2025 at mass retail, following an early release on November 7, 2025 in local game stores and Disney Stores. It contains 204 cards in the main set, plus 18 Enchanted, 18 Epic and 2 Iconic cards.
Illumineers turn detective. Strange, partially formed glimmers called Whispers have been appearing: they were summoned from torn or damaged Lorebook pages.
The trail of clues leads below the Great Illuminary, down to the Inkwell Caverns, the underground well system where the game’s six magical inks flow. That is where the plot thickens and leads straight into the next chapter.

New gameplay features
The set introduces the Boost keyword. Its official wording reads: once during your turn, you may pay the listed cost to put the top card of your deck facedown under this character. The cost varies from card to card, and boosted cards trigger or strengthen abilities.
It also adds the Whisper classification, covering those specter-like glimmers summoned from damaged Lorebook pages.
The Epic and Iconic rarities are not new here: they were introduced with Set 9, Fabled. Whispers in the Well is the second set to include them.
The Disney worlds featured
Two franchises make their Lorcana debut with this set: Gargoyles (with Goliath, Demona, Elisa Maza and Bronx) and The Black Cauldron (with the Horned King and Princess Eilonwy).
You will also find Zootopia with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, along with The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, DuckTales, Hercules, The Lion King and many iconic characters already present in the game.
Starter decks and products
Two starter decks shipped with the set: an Amber and Emerald deck on a paranormal theme, with Simba and Megara as its foils, and a Sapphire and Steel deck on a detective theme, with Judy Hopps and Robin Hood.
The lineup includes 12-card booster packs (6 commons, 3 uncommons, 2 rare-or-better and 1 foil), the 24-pack booster display and the Illumineer’s Trove, with its 6 ghostly-swirl damage dice.
The most sought-after cards
The two Iconic cards, Hades, Looking for a Deal and Ariel, Ethereal Voice, are by far the set’s most valuable.
Among the Enchanted cards, Cinderella, Dream Come True, Demona, Scourge of the Wyvern Clan and Goliath, Clan Leader are the most closely watched. Ravensburger even released a short documentary about designing the Demona card.
