Chapter 3
Into the Inklands
The expedition into the Inklands introduces Location cards, a brand new card type, and brings DuckTales into the game.
Into the Inklands is the third chapter of Disney Lorcana. The set released on March 8, 2024 at mass retail, following an early release on February 23, 2024 in local game stores and Disney Parks. It contains 204 cards in the main set and raises the number of Enchanted cards from 12 to 18.
The previous chapter’s flood washed precious lore far into the Inklands. Illumineers therefore venture into the unknown reaches of the realm to recover it before it falls into the wrong hands.
This is a chapter of exploration and adventure: Milo Thatch’s crews chart the Inklands, while an expedition sets out after King Triton’s trident. Ursula seizes it, and the set reveals the existence of two Ursulas, the impostor and the real sea witch, who ultimately double-crosses her doppelganger to keep the trident.

Location cards, the big addition
Into the Inklands introduces a brand new card type: Locations. These cards depict iconic Disney settings, such as Motunui or the Jolly Roger.
A Location has a willpower value and a lore value, plus a move cost. You can move your characters onto it, and some Locations passively earn you lore each turn. The set contains 22 of them.
That is the set’s only structural addition: no new keyword accompanies Locations, since the move cost is part of the rules specific to that card type.
The Disney worlds featured
Three franchises make their debut in the game: DuckTales, TaleSpin and Treasure Planet. Cards from Atlantis: The Lost Empire also appear, with Kida, Milo Thatch and Audrey Ramirez.
You will also find Moana, Peter Pan, 101 Dalmatians, Lilo & Stitch, Fantasia with Chernabog, Robin Hood, Winnie the Pooh and Aladdin.
Starter decks and products
Two starter decks shipped with the set: Amber and Emerald with Pongo and Peter Pan, and Ruby and Sapphire with Moana and Scrooge McDuck.
The Illumineer’s Trove changes contents from this set onward: it now holds 8 booster packs, a storage box, 6 dividers, 6 damage dice and a lore counter, where the first two editions offered deck boxes and a player’s guide.
A gift set also pairs Stitch and Tinker Bell, each in oversized and playable foil versions, with 4 booster packs.
The most sought-after cards
This is the first set to feature Enchanted cards that are not characters: it includes Enchanted Locations, items and actions.
The most closely watched cards are Kida, Protector of Atlantis, Chernabog, Evildoer, Scrooge McDuck, Richest Duck in the World and Maleficent, Mistress of All Evil.
